I have not yet read either of the first two before reading Big Island Blues. I was able to follow the story anyways, so this was not a problem but for those that like to read... This is a real taste of the islands. You can pretty much taste it.The story-line is interesting. Why has the young singer disappeared right before her big break?What is her mother hiding?Is the ex-husband really that crazy?Does McKenna have a chance with his best friend's sister?It's worth reading to find out. 5 Stars! Loved the bookWhat can I say? Another great story by Terry Ambrose. I've been following the McKenna stories since the first one, and I can honestly say that none of them have disappointed me in the least. I look forward to reading the next installment in the McKenna/Alexander/Benni/Kemu saga. MW
