I thought it was a great read- even though I only have one baby, this book really hit home to me in several ways. What mom doesn't feel a little crazed at times or struggles to have faith when it involves the suffering of her children?However, I did not rate this book higher because it still lacks character development (I would have... I liked this book and I think I may have read it before - it seems vaguely familiar. My own son was born with Down Syndrome and so I appreciated the feelings Natalie went through when she found out her daughter had down syndrome. Only those who have gone through that experience can imagine all the feelings that go through your mind... About 75% of the book was spent getting to know Natalie but not really any of the other characters. I thought more time would be spent on the time with her new child but that flew by at a superficial and predictable manner. I enjoyed the book and it is nicely written - I was just expecting a bit more. This book is more about a woman...
